GENERAL INFO: 

The OB8 was one of the most popular polysynths of the 80's and has been used by many artists.  It's also an excellent source of sounds for modern music (techno, house, pop, whatever) and is a popular vintage synth.  It is an extremely versatile synth, capable of producing a huge variety of sounds - from lush strings to fat, juicy basses, to smooth leads, stabs, brass, analog effects, etc.  If I had to list my favorite analog polyphonic synths, this one would definitely be on top! 

Here are some basic features:
-8 note polyphonic
-split and layer capability for 2 analog sounds at once
-2 VCOs per voice, includes oscillator sync
-modulation routing section
-2 pole / 4 pole filter select
-dual envelopes
-arpeggiator
-SWEET SOUND
-etc...

This one comes with MIDI kit installed, which makes the OB8 much more useful than ones without MIDI.


CONDITION:

 Our items are as described, which means no typical surprise post-sale repair bills or serious flaws typical of most vintage gear deals! 

This OB8 with MIDI is in excellent working order and looks FABULOUS - this one's probably the nicest OB-8 we've ever seen.  Check the photos above.   If memory serves, we got this from a customer many years ago.  He was the original owner and it was clear he took very good care of it.  We sold it to another customer and a few years later he momentarily lost his mind and decided to sell it back to us, in pretty much the same gorgeous shape it was in when we sold it to him. :)  We serviced it, tested it thoroughly, gave it a nice cleaning and of course enjoyed playing it and, well, here it is!  This one's actually the one we didn't want to sell the first time around and aren't that excited to see it go.  If it doesn't sell, we'll be happy to keep it as nothing else sounds like it and this is one excellent specimen of an OB8!    Did I mention the OB8 is definitely one of our favorite polysynths right now?  This particular OB8 should make anyone looking for a used OB8 extremely happy!
