ROLAND JUPITER-4 #3 FOR SALE
Programmable 4 note polyphonic analog synth
GENERAL INFO:
This is an excellent analog synth. It is one of the first polyphonic synths and has a similar sound to the Roland System 100 and SH series
synths. It has most of the features you would expect of a polyphonic analog synthesizer but its SOUND quality is terrific.
-fat sound - unison mode allows stacking of 4 voices per key and sounds huge!
-ensemble (chorus) circuit and sweet analog filter makes this unit sound really warm
-user programmable - you can write your own sounds to memory
-cool arpeggiator w/ random mode
I really cant over emphasize how nice this synth sounds. I have played more synths than anyone I know and I still love the JP4 sound! Its great for pads, basses, noises, leads and all other types of analog sounds. I am not alone in my admiration for this instrument. According to
synthmuseum.com, famous users include: 808 State, Vince Clarke, Depeche Mode, Thomas Dolby, Human League, Brian Kehew and Roger Manning of The Moog Cookbook,
Kitaro, Ruediger Lorenz, Masterworks, Meat Beat Manifesto, Neruonium, Gary Numan, Elizabeth Parker of BBC Radiophonic Workshop, Nick Rhodes, Tim
Souster, Spoons, Tangerine Dream, Tears for Fears, Tomita, Trans X, St. Etienne, Steve
Winwood, Stevie Wonder, Vangelis, Yaz

deals!
This JP4's in great shape for a used item of its type and age. It's recently been serviced and is working great, unlike most JP4's that have been on the market in recent times. Its battery has been replaced with a new battery so you shouldn't have to worry about paying someone to get in there and do this (it's not as easy as it sounds!). This units been calibrated as well so its tuning is better than most. Cosmetics are really nice. There's a small (minor) ding on the upper left back corner of the front panel. A tiny bit of the tolex covering this synths wooden case is slightly torn on the back edge. This can easily be glued down - we would have done so had we noticed it before photographing it (its really minor). Otherwise, there are a few other minor imperfections not worth mentioning in detail - check the photos above and you'll see this is an excellent specimen that should make most people looking for a used JP4 really happy!
Don’t let our overly critical descriptions discourage you, check out the detailed photos above!
