 Rare Vintage Analog String Synthesizer

 

GENERAL INFO: 

This rare analog poly synth sounds amazing.  It's got bass, strings and synthesizer sections.  Turn the chorus on and it'll give the ARP String Ensemble a serious run for its money.  This is one of our favorite string synths as it provides more options than most other string machines and has a really warm, interesting sound.

CONDITION:

 Our items are as described, which means no typical surprise post-sale repair bills or serious flaws typical of most vintage gear deals! 

When we bought this unit, it was described as "working perfectly and in like new, immaculate condition".   Another not quite accurately described vintage synth purchase.  Typical.  We wouldnt call it "like new", but, after we cleaned 30 years of dirt offf it, this unit is in beautiful cosmetic condition.  There were a couple scratches that we touched up with marker which now look fine.  There are a few typical scratches underneath, but who looks there?!  Overall it's a very good looking example of an RS505.  Functionally, there were some issues when we got it (when are there not with un-serviced synths this old?).  We started servicing it but went on a servicing break and found someone who said he wanted to buy it as is, without us completing the repair.  So, knowing how backed up our tech is, we put it back together and prepared it for sale for him only to find that he couldn't complete the transaction.  :(  So, here it is.  The repairs it needs seem minor.  We can either offer you this synth as is for a reduced price or you can put a deposit down for us to work on it for you during our next repair marathon.  Please email us if you're seriously interested and we can discuss it.  We're confident we can fix the minor issues it's got.
