Here are some short videos featuring this particular Sonic 6.  In some of the videos, the Sonic's LFOs are triggering its envelope generator or it's set to drone via the bypass switch in the VCA section.  In a couple, it's being controlled by the Roland MC-202's built in sequencer:











 

GENERAL INFO: 

The Moog Sonic 6 is a really interesting synthesizer. Its also a rare find - there arent many of them out there.  It folds up into a portable suitcase and has its own built in speaker so you can hear it without an amp.  It also happens to be one of the coolest looking and sounding analog synths.  :)  
I love using the Sonic VI for sound effects but its also great for typical Moog type synth sounds and other sounds youd expect an analog synth to do well.   It's got 2 oscillators, a ring modulator, sweet moog lowpass resonant filter, mixer section, TWO LFO's, adjustable scaling for interesting scales, VCA / envelope generator and external input for processing outside sources, gliss, pitchbender, 4 octave keyboard, etc.  It's a really flexible synth and lots of fun to play.  Although its not modular, its got nice modulation possibilities.  Thanks to these modulation options, the ring modulator and the 2 LFO's, you can get some really complex, evolving sounds out of it which you wouldnt be able to make on most other hardwired analog synths.  It's also great for droning sounds - you can bypass the envelope so the ring modulator or oscillators go straight to the output and have volume control over them as well.  Or, you could have one or both of the 2 LFOs trigger the envelope generator - you don't even have to play the keys to get interesting sounds out of this piece.   If you play another instrument and want to process it through the Sonic6, thats also an option, thanks to its external input.  This is a great synth which I recommend, especially to those who enjoy experimental music and strange sounds. :)

 Our items are as described, which means no typical surprise post-sale repair bills or serious flaws typical of most vintage gear deals! 

This Sonic Six is in nice shape for a used item of its type and age.  It's been fully serviced and is working and sounding great.  We replaced all the keyboard bushings so this keyboard feels like new - no nasty clicking or uneven key levels.  We cleaned the keyboard contacts so there's no retriggering or crazy pitch spasms.  We recalibrated the oscillators as well - you'll never get a vintage analog Sonic 6 to tune "perfectly" throughout its range, but we were quite happy with the results of this calibration. 

Cosmetically this Sonic 6 looks very nice.  Some of the metal inserts inside the rotary knobs have imperfections and the fader knobs have been replaced with new ones.  Some screws have been replaced as well.  

Unlike other stock Sonic 6's, this particular one includes a Cinch-Jones connector cable we made so you can control it via CV and gate or a MIDI to CV converter.  This is incredibly useful to anyone who wants to use their Sonic 6 with analog sequencers, their MIDI sequencer or other compatible devices!

This S6 should make most people looking for a used Sonic 6 very happy.  Get it before it's gone!
