MOOG REALISTIC MG-1 FOR SALE (#2)
Concertmate Synthesizer by Moog Music

GENERAL INFO:

This synthesizer is an improved version of the Moog Rogue made by Moog for Realistic (so yes, this is a REAL Moog!), with additional features which make it a much better choice than a Rogue - namely, the bell tone (ring modulation) and polyphonic sections.  I could not imagine using a Rogue if I had a choice!  Otherwise, the 2 are nearly the same.  Here are some details: Can't afford a vintage Minimoog?  The MG1 has many similarities as well as a couple additional features and is extremely portable as it's small and doesn't weigh much!  (This is THE Moog to gig with).  Even if you've got a Mini or other analog keyboard, this complements other synthesizers very well.  The MG1 is excellent for funky basslines and leads as well as interesting sound effects and other analog noises! The MG1 has enough knobs to make great sounds but few enough to keep the sound creation process nice and easy!  If you ever get bored with monophonic sounds, turn up the polyphonic sections for instant chords!

CONDITION:

Our items are as described, which means no typical surprise post-sale repair bills or serious flaws typical of most vintage gear deals!

This MG1 is in very nice shape.  It was just professionally serviced and thoroughly tested.  It's working great and sounding great and is very clean.  The horrible black foam layer they installed between the front panel and the circuit boad appears to have been removed long ago before it could crumble or melt into the black tar like mess it usually turns into.  So things are very clean inside and there's no mess to have to deal with!  We installed a new power cord and calibrated the oscillators and filter.   On the stock MG1, the audio ins and outs were RCA jacks.  This one's got 1/4" instead, so there's no need to fuss with annoying RCA cables.  A previous owner engraved his ID# in 2 places but it's not that noticeable since it's in black plastic.  There was also a handle previously installed on the back of this unit.  When it was removed it left a couple holes and an impression.  There are also a few scratches on the front panel.  None of these imperfections are major, see the photos - this unit would be mint if it wasn't for these minor issues.  This MG1 should make most people looking for a used MG1 very happy.

Don’t let our overly critical descriptions discourage you, check out the detailed photos above!
