GENERAL INFO: 

This is definitely one of our favorite Rolands, and one of our favorite monosynths of all time as well.  There are 2 LFOs, 2 oscillators, a ring modulator, sample and hold, a great multimode filter, and a great second filter, a bandpass filter with the resonance, voltage controlled amplifier, and dual envelope generator sections.  This synth has much greater flexibility than most other mono synths, and allows signals to be routed through either or both of the filters for added tonal control.  The SH5  is great for creating a wide range of interesting sounds, from musical tones to sound effects.  We love it and think you will too.

CONDITION:

 Our items are as described, which means no typical surprise post-sale repair bills or serious flaws typical of most vintage gear deals! 

This SH-5 is in beautiful condition for a used item of its type and age.  It was just professionally serviced.  The key contacts were cleaned and all switches and pots are in excellent working order. It was calibrated as well so the oscillators are in tune with one another and track properly over the keyboard range.  It was thoroughly tested and all features appear to be working exactly as they should.  Cosmetics are really nice, as you can see from the photos.  It has the following minor flaws most sellers wouldn't bother to mention:  There are a few minor scratches here and there, but none worth mentioning in detail.  There are a couple additional spots where the very surface of the front panel has light scratches, but these spots aren't very noticeable unless light is reflected against the front panel at a certain angle - they're quite minor.  The top D key has a slight dent in the black metal below it.  One of the sides has a couple tiny screw holes in its tolex - they're not easily spotted.  There are a few scratches / scuffs / minor tears in the tolex, but overall, this SH5 is in much better shape than most others we've seen and surely is in better functional and cosmetic condition than most other SH5's you'll find on the market (if you can find any others!).  This SH5 should make anyone looking for a used SH5 VERY happy!  This is a reluctant sale.
