Programmable Analog Polyphonic Synthesizer Module

- Hard to Find
- Very warm and fat
- Impressive polysynth!

GENERAL INFO

This synth is one of the fattest, warmest sounding MIDI synths ever produced and is quite sought after. In our opinion, this is the best MIDI capable, true vintage analog polyphonic synthesizer available. We think the sound of the Voyetra-8 is somehwere between that of the Moog Memorymoog and the Oberheim OB8, only it has more features and is definitely more stable and cleaner sounding than the MM (we often have these 2 synths in stock as well). Combined polyphony is 8 note and there are split, layer and whole modes. Each voice has 2 oscillators, 2 LFOs, 2 EGs, cross modulation, sync, 24 db VCF, and excellent modulation possibilities - its truly flexible! If you want warm analog sounds, this machine is for you! Strings, basses, sound effects, whatever... its really hard to make this thing sound bad! For this reason, the Octave Voyetra-Eight was a favorite of New Order, the Eurythmics, the Shamen, Electronic and others. Unison mode is OBESE! We won't go into more detail here as, if you got this far, you probably know what it is and already want one. :)

DETAILS:

Our items are as described, which means no typical surprise post-sale repair bills or serious flaws typical of most vintage gear deals!

This appears to be one of the later versions of Voyetra Eight.   It responds to Sysex data as well as pitchbend, aftertouch and modulation.

This Voyetra Eight is in very nice shape for a used item of its type and age.  There are some typical scratches, but nothing major.  The front panel overlay seems to have lifted slightly.  This is nothing major, but we like to describe everything - even the minor details other sellers don't mention.  We think it may be possible to peel off this overlay and reseat it, but since most people won't care we didn't bother.  Someone placed small black dots on the plastic inserts that sit on top of the knobs.  This was a great idea because without them you have no idea of your current knob positions.  Some of these dots are missing or have come off a bit.  We left them there because we consider them useful and would recommend redrawing them, but if you want to remove them, it should be easy.   One of the knob's inserts is missing. We tested this synth thoroughly from the front panel and also using Sound Diver editing software and it passed all our tests.  If you self-oscillate the filters, you may notice a couple of the filter voices are slightly detuned from the others, but this is perfectly normal in analog polysynths.  All synthesis features appear to be in full working order.  This unit tunes up quickly / well and sounds amazing.  We did not test the sequencer section because its a bit complicated and who in their right mind would use the V8 sequencer?  :)  However, we have no reason to believe there's anything wrong with it.  We feel this Voyetra 8 module will make one lucky buyer very happy.  Don't miss this opportunity - buy it before it's gone!

Don’t let our overly critical descriptions discourage you, check out the photos above!
